L'Hemisféric is the first building constructed and open to the public in the City of Arts and Sciences.
It was designed by Santiago Calatrava, and we can see that it looks like a human eye. This is because it represents the look that visitors will be able to make to the universe.
In l'Hemisféric, we will be able to see projections in a concave screen. These projections are of different themes, but always with the latest technology.

From March 4 to April 7, 2019 the sessions of Hemisferic will be screened only with sound in Spanish, without the possibility of choosing another language.

Projection systems of l'Hemisfèric
In l'Hemisfèric we can see the projections with different formats. The projection systems that are used are the following:
-IMAX Dome:
The IMAX system is at the forefront of clarity and brightness in the images.
It is the ideal system for large screens, because it achieves great realism and sharpness despite of the size.
Thanks to this, it manages to immerse the viewer in the projection.
-Digital projections:
These projections are able to cover the entire screen thanks to 6 "Barco Galaxy" projectors of 12,000 ANSI Iumens.
In addition, we have a visualization platform and an astronomical simulator "Uniview", which help us to represent the Universe in three dimensions.
-Digital 3D:
Thanks to the 3D glasses, you will be able to see the digital projections with three-dimensional realism. An experience, which added to the large concave screen, is going to be impressive.
In l'Hemisfèric we will be able to find several areas.
-Hall Area:
There are the lockers, cafeteria, customer service, information, etc.
In addition, it consists of a central space, where we can find different temporary exhibitions.
-The projection room:
This room has a large capacity.
In fact, it accommodates more than 300 spectators.
It also has a giant screen of 900 square meters and 24 meters in diameter.
- Perimeter Ring:
In this zone are celebrated acts of different nature.
¿A partir de qué edad pagan los niños?
Se paga a partir de los 4 años para cualquier modalidad de entrada. De 4 a 12 años la entrada es de “Niños”. A partir de los 13, presentando la acreditación o carnet como que se encuentra en situación de estudio, o el carnet joven, le correspondería la entrada “Joven”.
Recuerde que no está permitida la entrada de menores de 12 años que no vayan acompañados de personas responsables de su seguridad.
¿Existe servicio de alquiler de silla de ruedas?
Sí, en el Oceanogràfic tienen servicio de préstamos de sillas de ruedas dejando un depósito de 10€ que se le devolverá a la salida. En el Museo de las Ciencias tienen el mismo servicio con un depósito de 20€ que también se le devolverá después.
¿Cuánto dura la sesión elegida de Hemisfèric?
La duración aproximada es de 45 minutos.
¿Se puede acceder con comida?
No, está totalmente prohibido acceder con comida al recinto
¿Están permitidas las mascotas?
Sólo en el caso de mascotas acompañantes de personas con discapacidad.
¿Cuál es la mejor hora para realizar la visita?
Durante la hora de la comida es cuando los recintos se encuentran con menos afluencia. Recuerde consultar en los horarios los cierres según la época del año en la que vayan a realizar la visita.
¿Se pueden realizar fotografías o vídeos?
Sí, siempre que no utilice el flash y no sean para uso comercial sin previa autorización.
Si compro una entrada combinada de 2 o 3 recintos, ¿tengo que hacer la visita el mismo día?
No, no es necesario. Puede elegir una fecha distinta para cada recinto.
¿Se pueden cancelar o modificar las entradas?
No. Sólo está permitido en los siguientes casos:
- Causas médicas. En el caso de que no se pueda asistir por causas médicas, podrá solicitarse el cambio de la entrada. Le exigiremos el justificante médico para realizar la operación.
- Retraso o cancelación de trayectos en avión u otros medios de transporte. En el caso de retraso o cancelación se exigirá un justificante oficial de la compañía de transportes correspondiente.
*No se consideran motivos justificados para la devolución los asuntos personales o la no presentación el día de la visita para la que no se facilite un justificante oficial, así como los errores en la compra.
¿Evitaré las colas comprando mis entradas online?
Sí, totalmente. No tendrá que pasar por las colas de taquilla. Deberá dirigirse directamente a los tornos de acceso.
¿Debo imprimir las entradas?
Sí, hay que presentar las entradas impresas en papel.
